Duck’s Tongue
Duck's tongue is an apparent street delicacy in Hong Kong. You can get it at almost any restaurant.
I hated it.
Dad took me to this restaurant that specializes in teochew-styled porridge. They served cold, boneless tongue. Eeekie yuckie bits of salivary sponges, drizzled with cold sesame sauce and cold oil. I took a cautious bite into one of these and my stomach just decided to fail on me.

A few days later the HK Peak Leos took us to this Tai Pai Dong (akin to our Tai Chow i.e. chinese open aired night restaurants) in Sha Tin and I had my second encounter with the dreaded dish. This time it was deep fried with some chilly bits.

The verdict: I'm terribly unadventurous and these type of delicacies just don't tickle my fancy.

You took a bite ? I’m curious. How does it taste like ?
Which is worse, duck tongue or their fried “smelly” beancurd ?

not to irritate you, but tongue has no bones. so there is no need to say boneless tongue.

nope
the fried version had bones at the end of it. the cold dish was boneless tongue.

Ugh!! Obviously some people in HK are going round “kumpul-ing” all these tongues. Hhehheh. WHat a thought.

if ducks’ tongue is the benchmark to measure one’s sense of adventure in gastronomy, then i am out. but i did enjoy many other dishes in hk which were not common in malaysia.
