BUT THIS, THIS HURTS LIKE HELL, because i didn’t see this coming at all… i mean I saw other things coming, but not in this absurd manner… don’t you hate it when you’ve made up your mind to continue workin in a company when suddenly the ‘powers that be’ decide to take things into their hands and close the whole company down?

That’s how i feel right now.

you start work in the same company with a friend. you both struggle through your first year and when it comes to appraisal and remuneration time… you sort of think you did better than your friend so you should get more or just about equal. I mean she slacked on quite a few projects… but ooh well, you guys are friends… cover for each other mah.

boss gives you a pay increase HIGHER than what other major companies are giving. you are thrilled and floating on the clouds. doesn’t matter what happens now… “I’m so happy Mum!”

your friend walks out of the room next and screams with delight. Her pay increase is 1.5 times yours.

… suddenly the world is a freaking rotten place with no justice.

“that’s not fair… she…”
“you know that b*tch was slacking on the…”

…. ahhh the beauty of life, irony and theory of relativity.
