But you could have developed an allergy to deodorants/powders/etc that you use to clean yourself "down there". Other common causes of thrush include antibiotic courses (which kill the "friendly" bacterial flora), wiping the "wrong way" and harsh soaps/bubblebaths. But most likely, it's just sheer bad luck. Some women naturally get thrush more often than others. But you're in your mid-twenties, never had the problem and suddenly get two in a matter of weeks. In the UK, we pharmacists generally advise that if you get more than one attack in six months, you should get checked out by a competent doctor to make sure that there's no more serious underlying problem.
