While I’ve no problem putting URLs to friends’ posts and relevant links, I DO agree that putting URLs to every single URLable word is simply silly.

Maybe it came from the silly notion by a ‘prominent blogger’ that ‘blogs’ should have a pre-requisite ‘formula’ of “Commentary + Links + Extracts (quotes)”, and everyone believed it. (see my disclaimer on my blog)
