Cock A Doodle Doo…

Thursday, April 21st, 2005 @ 11:59 pm | Story-teller

Another screwed up rhyme. Unabridged. And… well… bold in places… in case you needed some help in imagination firing.

Cock-a-doodle-doo!
My dame has lost her shoe;
My master's lost his fiddling stick,
And don't know what to do.

Cock-a-doodle-doo!
What is my dame to do?
Till master finds his fiddling stick,
She'll dance without her shoe.

Cock-a-doodle-doo!
My dame has found her shoe,
And master's found his fiddling stick,
Sing doodle-doodle-doo!

Cock-a-doodle-doo!
My dame will dance with you,
While master fiddles his fiddling stick
For dame and doodle-doo.

Eh I learnt this rhyme when I was a little kid and I thought it had no meaning. I mean, who would play a violin, lose a shoe and have a cock singing doodle do by the side? Makes no fuck-a-doodling sense to me.

ADD ON!

The cock doth crow
To let you know,
If you be wise,
Tis time to rise.

There are a lot more where these came from.

Nursery rhymes are “bad” and “sick”.

We just did not realize when we were innocent & naive kids
