awesome blog.
i'm sick of preachers.
because i look more like a chinese rather than a malay, they usually think i'm christian and start giving me flyers and crap like that and try to get me to attend one of the services in their church.
but when i tell them that i'm a muslim, heh, they give me this freaky look and start (quite literally) pushing me in the direction of the church.

the world would be a lot better if there weren't so many of them.

hmm...as we remember all the fucking idiots we've encountered, let's not forget the times we've been complete fucking idiots ourselves. Are you gonna throw the first stone? (stay out of this, Mother Mary!)

Idiots are those whom I've answered "No" to their last 5 questions (which happen to be the same question, albeit in different forms).

Got time will post abt idiots. Sometimes, I really ponder what happened that led them to be in this state (of mind). Quite kesian, you know?

Oh yes, the pleasure of dealing with idiotic people. My ex bf's girlfriend went all mental because she was not invited to my private dinner. She started harrassing me and then told me she just wanted to be my friend because I'm her boyfriend (my ex's) friend. Er... hello?!!

HAHA, what a hilarious post. Reminds me of my own collection of idiots. Reminds me also of what Calvin (of Calvin & Hobbes) once remarked: "Life's disappointments are a lot harder to take if you don't know any swear words." :)
So, you're right, just say fuck off! Not like how gangstas do it, you gotta try the British slang way, where you start with a low growl, and pronounce 'fuck' with a falsetto high pitch, like so: aww, foick awff! More therapeutic than prayer, I tell you.

I remember being approached by a missionary from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (mouthful) on the streets once. Nice chap from America who came to Malaysia on a "mission"...he even tried to speak in Chinese to me, which didn't happen to be a main language for me...sweat. But I digress. He preached about his religion and I patiently heard him out until finally he asked me whether I am a Christian plus the opinions I had.

I told him no, that I was a free thinker. I ended up preaching back to him about how I think religion is just something which gives hope to people and that a large majority of people need a guideline in life which religion can provide them regardless of whichever one it is. We had a debate on the streets for a little over an hour. Pretty fucking cool come to think of it. At the end of it, he wanted to give me his Book of Mormon. I refused but promised him I would eventually read through it online and he promised he'd keep my opinion in view. The good thing about him was that even though he was very certain on what he believed, he accepted the opinions and never forced those beliefs on me, rather he shared it and let me be on my way.

I think a lot of people take religion too seriously which you've already covered in your previous blog entry. Like I said, I believe religion is a set of guidelines more than anything else which is good but not when the line is crossed.

Did you know the concept of salvation after death existed as a result of humans seeking eternal life and immortality of the soul? This concept was given birth in the Hellenistic period which is around the time Christianity picked up. So this would probably explain why there is so much about "You don't believe in what-not-what and you don't get salvation after death (aka a place with God, heaven etc etc)"

Sorry...this is getting a bit long and I'm beginning to ramble...good movie on tv...
