What you remember
I didn't use to say 'fuck'.
I used to say many other things in muffled tones, and you would understand anyway.
You thought minishorts was better like that, sugar, spice and everything nice.
And then the world changed. OMFG. It changed.
People ask me what happened. People get concerned. People wonder. People question. People say this people say that.
You know when you're famous like I am, fame becomes an invisible entity, something non-existent, not important, even though it's already in your hands. And I don't even realize I already hold it. FAME. And people ask me, responsibility, girl, where's your responsibility. Kids read you and you talk about sex?
Kids, kids are not supposed to surf blogs unsupervised. I write too much crap anyway, kids are not supposed to have such a long attention span.
Girl, you're femes, have responsibility, don't whore yourself as a bitch.
Kanasai, my blog, I do what I like lah. None of your fucking business kay? You wanna talk responsibility?
Besides, I never whored myself. I can't helped it that I'm liked even though I'm such an arse, right? Some people just attract attention and I just can't help that I'm so blessed unlucky to be one of those people!
A little bird flew by, perched on my shoulder and told me some pwetty interesting news about some youths who want to group together to stand up for their rights, wanting their voices to be heard.
I'm going to sound street-wise over here, a tad cynical but this is my blog, the space is mine so bear with me while I speak up.
The thing about the 'powerful' media here in Malaysia (and all over), they dupe our kids and the younger generation into thinking that their voices are unheard, and they need to participate in forums, meetups, portals, channels, whatchamacalldem's, to be heard, that their opinions make sense, are important, need to be addressed etc etc.
They con our youths into believing that they're insignificant.
The result is a never ending battle and shoutouts from young people who keep crying out in the same adolescence-streaken angst. And the more they scream, 'Hear me hear me!' the more the real world shuts its ears to these screams.
Okay, I'll go back on my word a bit. A while ago the scene above (disregarded teens wanting to be heard) could have, COULD HAVE, been true. But with the emergence of blogs, personal ones where you can be important and your voice could make a tired camel jump out of its humps, there is just no point spending days and nights slouching over your notebooks writing e-mails across oceans to discuss how to formulate a well-known coalition of 'young-people-who-want-to-be-heard' when you can already, HELL, sign up with blogger and say all you want.
If what you have to say, are dying to say is meant to be recognized and regarded as sound, you don't need to form secret sects of society to wham into the existing blogosphere world with a 'big bang'. You can do it by yourself, sign up with Blogger, and with enough will and purpose to 'stand out', honey, you will stand out. Examples abound: Xiaxue, Jeffooi, Caleb, Kennysia, Sixth Seal, Peter Tan and some say, minishorts.
If you are good, you have a sound message, you will be heard, and you don't have to wait until a particular day and month to launch the responsible, journalistic mission that you're planning to do. You can start right now. Today. This moment. Speak up, and you WILL be heard. You don't even need to go to biggie bloggers and powerful mediums to advertise your cause.
I've seen it happened, and I can vouch that word-of-mouth, is a very, very, powerful advertising medium.
And personally, I like people who walk slow, strut slow, don't say much, and when they do say something, the quiet impact cuts so deep to the heart that it eats into your life like a painful tumour. Rather than loud explosions that merely scratch light wounds.
That's what I think of this. And for those who keep banging on the fact that, 'But we're youths, we're youths and we're the future generation, we need to say something so that the leaders will hear us!', I too have things to say to them.
You're not always youthful, you know. You're no longer looking towards becoming the future generation, because you're already IT. No longer should youths like us demand of our leaders to do things that we want them to do, but instead, youths like us should realize already, that it isn't about demanding, rather working WITH our leaders to make things turn the way that society needs best. You see, the problem with youths is, they think they're youths forever. They long to grow out of their childhood, which they eventually do, but when they grow out of their youth-hood they forget they're already too old to be called the future generation.
If you weren't awake already, lemme shake you up a bit.
YOUR TIME IS NOW. THE FUTURE IS NOW, you idiots. I thought you would have known it already. After all, you're the one from the foreign I-paid-a-bomb-just-to-graduate-from-here smarty-pants, wouldn't you be smarter than the rest of us too-poor-to-afford-an-overseas-education bitter sour-grapes.
A truncated article in the newspaper and you leap for joy like a jumping kangaroo. Wow. I'm impressed.
And what gives me the mightier-than-you position to say so much crap? Well, at least I'm more read than you are, and I make a bigger impact than you do. A whiff of my breath, and the grass tumble across the fields, of course the blades will rise again, but my breath can stink of garlic sometimes, you know? Means if the blades die, I cannot guarantee these things will live again.
And after this, you can beat me, hate me, bitchify me but you cannot take away the people who will still love me. The world's like that, every Hitler has his followers, God is always fair like that. People can be stupid but still be loved because, because, and because. No reasons needed.
You can rant and rant and rant but you CANNOT take away the fact that some people are more people-people than you are.
Neither can you take away the fact that my points are solid, in places.
And then, after a few months, I return to the me. This style.
Gee. And you thought I lost it.
But seriously, you don't lose your childhood. You just live through it and it still remains. There's no way you can lose everything from anything.
You just gain things that you don't plan to. Like how I did. Like I how didn't use to say 'fuck'.
What happened?
I started saying fuck you, damn you, get a life and leave me be.
Now there.

Havela some respect for the blog owner. If she wants to say fuck let her say it on her blog. It’s her space, her blog. If it offends you go somewhere else. No one’s forcing you to read.

what is it with people complaining about how a person blogs. it’s kinda annoying and I usually ignore that person and somehow he/she doesn’t come back to my blog anymore
June 7th, 2005 at 11:25 am

Juz: hehe. Thanks.
BawangMerah: your msg applies everywhere too!
s-kay: well… the bigger message of this post was in the middle. (eric says i digress too much, this is so damn true)…
Capt: oh yeah man. hahaha i think the ‘carcinogen’ in your nick is the one causing the trouble. not your url. :mr green:
BTW,
i think some people will terasa after reading this post… but i’d like to say to those people: i think your idea is great, but i think you’re taking too long to put it into motion.
You don’t need meetings and e-mails to plan all those stuff. and you don’t need people to help promote you as well. if you’re meant to burst into flames, you’ll burst into flames. just get started and the ball will roll.

The price of being femes is that a lot of people think they know you based on what the read about you. That sort of behaviour is presumptious and silly, but it’s human nature.
I don’t believe in censorship. I think you are doing very well.

I never used to say the ‘F’ word much either when I was young (least a bar of soap be shoved down my throat by my parents) … and later, when I was a teenager, people woul dlaugh when I said it, because they said it sounded weird coming from me (who never swore much).
Then, I didn’t swear for about seven years straight as an adult … not that anyone noticed.
Well, whether you swear or not is up to you … but I will say something about responsibility. Everyone YES EVERYONE is a role model. You’ll find people want you to behave like the role model they think everyone should be, while you are trying to be the role model you think you should be … and that’s why lots of people get all angsty over it. Everyone should cool it. Good role models stand out like sore thumbs (I think).
My personal philosphy (or one of them): Be the best person you can, and if you find something YOU don’t like, then it’s up to YOU to change it. Not every other a***hole around, because they don’t know what’s best for you. They’ll try and change every bit of you till you become … THEM! Argh! I don’t even like THEM! Because they are the ones causing the angst in the first place!
Well, that’s my beliefs anyway. Ignore it if you want.

Oh, p.s. Love the post immensely.
June 7th, 2005 at 4:54 pm
Well babes, this certainly is the milder version of we bandied this topic about on msn. Hehehe. Fuck it, just say what you want. Life’s short anyway…

Being yourself automatically fulfills any responsibility. The gods created the Universe out of joy and playfulness and creativity, not because they thought they had to.
Your being is blessed and spontaneous because it is. And fulfilling it with nature automatically fulfills your purposes and, in your terms, your responsibility

Not too sure if this is a collection of random thoughts or some hallucination that played out typical of a schizophrenia patient. By itself, they hardly make sense and they could hardly fit together. Here you are, a peek into the beautiful mind.
For my protection, here is the anti-fouled-mouth icon:

It is a useful word.
If you want to inform others that something is broken, simply say, in a loud voice:
“The fucking fucker’s fucked!”
Good blog minishorts
June 10th, 2005 at 3:51 am
Fuck, you are right. I feel your post (wo)man!
Above all that you said, I think it’s also because the teens these days are sheltered, and ignorant.
