There is constant searching, we know there is something not quite solid, not like say, a twenty-something 100 years ago, where the only they have to be sure of is when the seasons will change and where food will come from and so on. Spiritual emptiness? Disallusion with the way the world works? Conflicting values in a clash of civilizations? One thing is clear, the current zeitgeist is one of introspection. That is why blogs are getting popular. We write, attempting to crystallize that which is not still within our consciousness, and hope for some kind of validating response from others as well.
