It takes all sorts

I can't recall the exact number of times which I have mentioned this. But here I have to say it again:
Freedom of Speech is a privilege that is grossly misunderstood by many as a right.
A rant this is, no less. Now bear with me here because can I quote that, 'This is my blog I can damn hell blog anything I wanna blog so screw you,' line first?
OK. Here goes:
There are recent cases of people PUBLICIZING their blog EVERYTIME they post an entry there. I get them in friendster, in the bulletin section, I see these in my friends' comment links, even in FORWARDED emails and all the other mediums available, asking friends and friends of friends to 'Hammer away, post your opinions on (enter blog site here)'.
Then they post a fraction of that blogged entry with a (link) to go and read more at the official site.
Discount the fact that that particular entry is PASSABLE as something worthy of a read, but being a blatant traffic whore in that manner just puts people off. FREEDOM OF SPEECH EY? How about granting us a freedom of space as well.
Oh mind you if people are not reading our blog, let's just put it right there in their face, 'Look look, my post is very good, but you know what no one is commenting, OH YEAH, let's try publicizing it on FRIENDSTER BULLETIN!'
Have some respect for your talent lah please…
LIKE, HOW PATHETIC CAN YOU GET OI! I've said this tonnes of times: if you are worthy of a read, SOONER OR LATER you will be discovered. Your friends will help you promote your site, your cause, your writings. People will talk about you. Word of mouth is sparked off by other people, NOT by your own self-declared 'I'm very clever' tongue.
Either that or your publicity plans for scoring hits need a second opinion, and here it is. Given to you point blank, here in this post. THIS POST. I'm telling you that publicity plan of promoting your site via friendster and mailing list and hammering people to comment to the entries on 'just another blog' is simply PATHETIC.
OH screw me already. I'm only exercising FREE SPEECH in this rant.
That's all for the morning. Thank you.
