Two years ago, I did this. Yesterday I was sieving through the old stuff, right after thinking about what to do about the silly promise that I've made myself (the NNWM project lah what else) and I found it, and I told dear old Ed, 'Wah someone should do this again, eh you do it lah and then you give it back to me.'

Didn't even think of it again until today when he blardy hell TAGGED ME ALL OVER AGAIN. WTF!

When and why did you start your daily reads list?
2003: I surfed around other blogs and I saw that it was 'customary'. Obviously it was a part of blogging culture, so I followed suit.
Today: I think the answer above still applies.

Do you truly visit your daily reads DAILY?
2003: Not every daily read.
Today: If I go online, I will visit them.

Why do you add these people as your daily reads?
2003: Basically I just marathon surfed and collected about ten people that I really enjoyed reading, tagged their guestbooks / tagboards and got linked to theirs. Cool thing is, I actually became friends with some of them! Nowadays, I do reciprocal links only if I enjoy reading sites.
Today: Because they're damn fucking GOOD reads. That's why I've set them apart from the rest.

How many people are on your daily reads?
2003: In my 'Minishorts Addiction' section, that's the blogroll, I have 35! Now please don't blame me for not visiting all your links everyday!!
Today: Under the Daily Reads, I have only 22 people. The rest have been transfered to here. These people are equally worthy visits, except I do not visit them as religiously as I do the Dailies.

Have you deleted people from your daily reads, if so why?
2003: Oh to be really confessional, I do deletion to what I call link-mistakes as well. As in, I thought the site was good, but then it became not so good after that…. so I take it off. Since I don't read it anyway, what's the point?
Today: I've transfered the not-so-daily reads to another page. And I take away sites that I do not read. No point having them there.

Do you comment on your daily reads DAILY?
2003: If I did comment to everything, it'd be like … saying something just for the sake of saying something. What's the point?
Today: Obviously not. I'd be patronizing people if I did.

How often do you modify your daily reads?
2003: Often enough.
Today: Not often.

Do you link people on your daily reads only because they linked you?
2003: If they link me and they're nice to read, nice to see, then alright. If not, I'm not bothered.
Today: No I link whoever I want to link.

Does daily reads have special meaning to you?
2003: Since I had so many 'rules', OBVIOUSLY YES!!
Today: They are all very very nice to read.

Are your daily reads mostly female or male?
2003: I realized that most of them are Male.
Today: Wait ah lemme check. Seven females, the rest are males. So yeah, most of them are men.

What do you get from reading your daily reads?
2003: Emotional de-stress. Intellectual input.
Today: They're entertaining. Information and updates on my friends as well.

Are you likely to read LONG blog entries from your daily reads?
2003: I skim and scan the work, and if its really good, I'll make a second round for the details.
Today: I skim and scan. I can speed read one you know… not everyone has this talent one…

Do you expect your daily reads to read your blog everyday in return?
2003: No ler… I'm not even bothered if they link me back in return.
Today: I'd be damned if Scalzi knows of me even.

Actually they're all pretty fugly because I go for content! But since I have to choose: Edrei.

The ones I talk to almost every day are Elaine, Vince, Edrei, and Fuckstress. I pretty much know everyone on the list on a 'more-than-the-blog' basis except John Scalzi, who doesn't know I exist. OH YEAH OF COURSE… Eyeris who help catapult me into the limelight (but I don't talk to you almost every day leh)

John Scalzi.

KY. Piang eh, every post also KY this KY that, freaking annoying yeah… but otherwise his posts are a HOOT! No one does the second THIRD (thanks Swifty!) person reference header better than KY yeah.
