Oh my love’s like a red, red rose

This is going to be a one-of-a-kind very mushy post. I hardly do this these days, because I have an image to keep, and no, you can't be in your mid-twenties and behave like a 16-year-old anymore.
BUT I HAVE TO BLOG ABOUT THIS. I JUST HAVE TO. HAVE TO. HAVE TO. Nyek. It's my blog I can do WHATEVER I want to do and I will boast about the extra surprise present that I got a couple of weeks ago.
Now please, understand that it was a very tiring day, I was running very very late on my deadlines (which are, coincidentally, always on a 'yesterday'), and I knew that no boss was going to let me off easy for heck of a 'birthday'. I skipped lunch, yes, I skipped lunch, and while the others were down having their quick breaks, I had to work overtime on the comp.
And then I went out to the loo for a bit.
And then I came back.
And when I came back.
I saw.
This.
OMG.
OMG.
OMG.
ON MY TABLE.
WAH PIANG (sorry, I'm very jakun, I've had bfs before but this is the first time I've got such a fantastic bouquet leh…)

So pretty, had to take photos of it.

See those tiny beans there. I have NO IDEA what they are. My colleagues were gushing at my fortune though. And we all discussed 'the beans'. I decided that they were chillies. Yup.
'They're chillies.'
My colleague started at me. 'Cannot be lah. What nonsense.'
'Yes, they're chillies. Maybe we'll just steal a bit and chop it up to see if its lethal.'
Well obviously I didn't do that lah. What I did, was to transfer the flowers to a black vase. I think red goes well with black.

The bouquet's gone now, and I have these pictures! An older colleague joked that men are extra nice when you're still a-courting, and I think I'll better take that as an advice to treasure whatever I have right now.
