So surreal
Suddenly it's like a veil has fallen across the entire world, and all that remain are my eyes, the veil, and what's beyond the veil. It is basically, very personal.
So what happened? Seriously, I can hardly believe it, HOWEVER, right now I'm actually trying to plod along while waiting for the final result–and of course I'm trying to maintain a good balance between being optimistic and bracing for the worst.
Oh I also bought the Palm T|X for a steal. He he. Does anyone have any discounts on SD cards? I'm thinking of getting a 512 MB card, or if the price is right, I'll get adventurous and go for the 1GB one, but just how much do I have to ready first?
I'm feeling so sleepy here… I'm supposed to be doing work, but instructions are sparse and I'm not really that motivated right now. That is, I am motivated, but I suspect these motivations are for the wrong reasons.
I can't wait till tomorrow.
Can't seem to install the Palm Desktop software on my PC. Does anyone have an extra installation CD for me to test it out? It works fine on my office comp, which is a Win98 model. The one at home runs on Win XP Professional.

What’s very personal?

as a photographer, all i can say is that a 1G card is risky business. touch wood, of course, but i’ve been one too many 1G cards konk out, kingston and other brands included. its not much for the card because some brands even have lifetime warranties, but the stuff you have in the card, which truly is a photogapher’s worse nightmare.
go conservative. get a 512. some people in the industry even go for a double or triple 256.
March 22nd, 2006 at 8:43 pm
I would rather buy a few 256 =P

I would go for a few 512MB cards. At least if one were to knock out, I have the other to last me - instead of dumping everything in one card.

i can’t install it too. I tried , but apparent the stupid thing says that my system files have to be in Drive C to work. In computer doesn’t have a Drive C. I installed all my system files on a Drive F.
It’s just a label!

If its because of the drive letter conflict, then its another story to install and it’ll be very complicated to solve.
Good luck.
March 23rd, 2006 at 2:27 pm
adrian: if it is the drive letter conflict, is it necessary for me to reformat my pc and repartition everything?
March 23rd, 2006 at 4:19 pm
Look like the developer at Palm hardcoded the HDD drive letter.
There is a discussion regarding tis issue here.
