life, love, *motherhood, and then more
Bye-bye, PMS!
You know, sometimes, going extra public with one's personal feminine woes pays off in the strangest ways. Not that I've been blaming my hormonal fluctuations for the bad behaviour on minishorts.net for sometime already, but obviously I haven't been ranting as much, because I haven't been getting the cramps for a long time.
Now I have to thank a few people for this. First of course, is Eric dearest, who came up with some sort of action-plan that he'll turn on everytime I tell him, 'It's here.' That's when he pumps up the extra-TLC supply, and agrees to almost everything I say. If all else fails, we choose to leave each other in solitary confinement for several days. Besides, my periods last only five days, so it's not really that bad.
The other person I have to thank is Mummy dearest, who makes it a habit to boil essence of chicken everytime my period days are over. And no, I don't take bottled essence of chicken, because I don't like the caramel smell. I get two bowl-fuls of essence a month, and I think it works.
Now here's the awesome thing. BiO-LiFE (yes, that health care products company) also took note of my plight, and decided that, 'Hey, Minishorts needs Evening Primrose Oil to keep her going!'
So now, on top of family-love, I also get some outside help from the kind folks at Biolife. Now trust me, this is NOT a advertorial, and the only kind of benefit I'm getting from it is a two-year supply of BiO-LiFE Evening Primrose Oil 1000 mg starting 1 June 2006.
OK wait a minute. That's a pretty fantastic benefit. Two years worth of Evening Primrose Oil is definitely going to be a good thing for me! Can't you see why I'm so happy and so grateful? You just HAVE to be appreciative of this great gift.
So hey, here's to a PMS-free Minishorts, cheers to that! And a huge huge thanks to the kind folks at BiO-LiFE! Click!
ADD ON
OMG this is so hilarious, but because some blogger who has many times openly revealed his dislike of me (for some comment / post in which I apparent wrote about him) has a YET ANOTHER problem with me. According to this person, this post is a blatant 'endorsement' of BiO-LiFE, and this endorsement is, erm 'shameful'.
This post was a thank-you note, but because the said blogger was not happy that I denied endorsement, I'll oblige him. YES! BiO-LiFE and I are forming a collaborating pact for two whole years, and you will hear a lot about them in the coming two years. And I think it's a positive thing, don't you? So here's the repeat:
THIS IS AN ADVERTORIAL! I'M GOING TO USE BiO-LiFE EPO FOR TWO YEARS! AND ISN'T THAT AWESOME?
And you know what? It's true. And I like the idea of bloggers endorsing products. I've never used EPO before, and now that a company has offered me the chance to test its brand of a well-recognized feminine supplement, I'm very honoured, and very appreciative of their efforts in bringing the idea of product-branding into the blogosphere. I'm even more honoured to be the first on their blogger approach list (yes I heard there are more coming). Should I not thank the company for their generosity?
There you go, 'responsible' endorsement. I would like to thank Mr Fat4 for being so morally-concerned with the issue of responsible blogging. We are so grateful for your endless scrutiny on the web. With bloggers like you, surely the younglings of the blogosphere will not be negatively influenced by the misconduct of prominent bloggers. Folks, you better well learn from Fat4, his is what I call, dedicated blogging. *wink*

hmm…. I’ve been consuming 1000mg EPO for 5 years now. But even during student days, I’ve not been experincing any bad cramp… or even zits. Have been taking spirulina too. Read that the contain of EPO is much, much, much more higher than EPO dosage.

How come this post look like a paid advertisment from BiO-LiFE? Hee hee…..
Maybe I’ll get some for my gf.

DK: because i’m being paid for it. Well, not in cash. But in EPO supply. Which needs a thank you note, i think.

You know, I wish I can endorse Mitsubishi on my blog, if they give me an Evo 9 to use for like….. 5 years. Yeah, that’s how long I’m willing to ‘rent’ my soul. Ahaks!

just something to think about for all concern.
Were there editorial control by the sponsor over the content of the post and obligation by the blogger to post the review?
sic6sense, nope. and nope. just posted this because when ppl give you a gift, you say thank you. it’s basic etiquette, but apparently, there are proper ways of doing this.
and oh, there isn’t a review yet, because i haven’t exactly gone through the recommended dosage (three times daily for twelve weeks) yet, but i think we’ll see real reviews as i plod along on this EPO-exploration.

well, that should answer a lot of questions then. I wonder what they say about movie and book reviews? I guess that’s ‘different’.

You’re calling the 2 year sponsorship a gift? And your post a mere thank you note?
Grow up, minishorts.
And stop lying.

I come back to double check the brand n product… only to see you added additional notes cos some people attack u for it.
So is this considered an endorsement? It depends on how you view it. Personally, I feel that money need to be exchanged to count as an endorsement. But some might view that giving you some freebies is also considered endorsement.
Its actually a rather grey area. But does it matter how u call it?
I don’t find any fault in your post. You stated clearly that you are getting 2yr worth of product from them. So what is wrong with it?
End of the day, it is up to the readers to judge if you had given a fair review or not.
As for whether this is a thank you note or endorsement, its up to the readers to decide….
Cheers.
Wonder if they sell in SG also or not…. I’ll go check it out this few days.

well DK, obviously as seen from *some* of the comments above, ‘i have a responsibility’ to fulfil, lest some kids get influenced negatively and go around lying about gifts and etc. i can’t oblige them all the time, but nvm. I can definitely humour them.
usually they don’t laugh, but then again, not everyone has a sense of humour. some people just love to hate, you know what i mean?

Have been taking 3000mg of EPO daily for 9 days now, as recommended by my doctor. Don’t know how long it takes to work, but my skin seems to be clearing up slowly, YEAH BABY!!!!!!! Never thought I would ever have clear skin and at 28, you’d think I was passed the teenage acne…..NOT!!!!!!
My girls will be happy to see my PMS vanish, as will the hubby.
PLEEEEEEEEEEEESE work!!!!!!
