No one ever knows it.
This isn't even a conversation that went on in my head a while ago. It's running now, a commentary of random thoughts, I'm just trying to pick the ones that matter. It's not even remotely 'emo' like, because, it's just a few things that popped up in my mind, but stimulated by certain things I've read, and found out, or heard, from places. Where I dropped by, or where I occasionally play the peeping tom, or where I listen with my ears behind closed doors.
And they didn't even know I saw all this.
But these people, they're so conceited. So very conceited. They leave advices to grieving friends, and they tell them things that sound so right to do, so perfectly correct, the right words, the lines that matter… but they're so… dishonest. The thing they say.
'Friends ought not take sides in a break up.'
'Perfection doesn't exist except for those who really accept them.'
'There are always two sides to a coin. And it is only the wiser who will know how to choose which is the correct version of a story.'
Such wonderful lines, but none practised in real life… besides, be honest, was it really possible to put the above into practice? Come on.
I think really, there is no correct version of a story. A wise person is someone who is bold enough to admit stupidity. Usually the very wise people will remain silent, and try not to talk so much, but then again, how many of us are brave enough to admit that we're all idiots?

IMHO:
“Friends ought not take sides in a break up.” - People only say that because they have nothing else to say and they want to cheer you up. Would you rather say this to your friend who just broke up: “You are so cruel … you dumped him/her just because of that … how come you so selfish etc etc. Even though I am your friend I still think you are a POS for doing that.”. Doesn’t exactly go down too well does it.
“Perfection doesn’t exist except for those who really accept them.” - Perfection does not exist and when you accept someone, you are accepting the fact that they are not perfect people … HOWEVER they are perfect for you.
“There are always two sides to a coin. And it is only the wiser who will know how to choose which is the correct version of a story.” - There is always two sides to a story and both can be correct at the same time depending on your outlook. Relationships are complex problems and most of the time it is a series of events which lead to the inevitable. And besides, both sides will be biased in their versions of the story anyway, i.e. no side is the correct version.

interesting commentary this time. it’s quite true, how some people can be so hypocritical, and how we ourselves can be so hypocritical too, at times.
hence, my stand : hypocrisy is an integral part of social behaviour. =P
and call me hypocritical. LOL.

Like Vincent sez - and Walski also sez the same thing - there are always 3 sides to any story, A’s side, B’s side, and what really happened.
After you hear both sides, then read between the lines to surmise what really happened, then you come to the realization that it’s too much trouble to take sides to begin with
The problem (in general) is when you only hear one side, then jump to a conclusion… and lots of people do this, not just w.r.t. relationships, but with anything and everything in life.
Damn… why am I getting so philosophical? Maybe I’m just an idiot too!! LOL

1. Friends should not take sides in a break up unless for the sake of justice.
Friends should know whats best after breakups. To help them move on.
2. Perfection is a target. If perfection is a star, then aim for it. You may fail and hit the moon instead, where most people aim for the sky.
3. A coin has two sides. Two sides make a coin. Without each side, there won’t be a coin to begin with.
Play with perspectives.

NeoWakko: WRONG. Coins have THREE Sides, and the third side is a circular ring, which makes it all the more interesting.

NeoWakko > yes, it’s true we should be impartial in breakups, but exactly, how can one be truly impartial? it’s a very thin line to walk. at the same time, there are also other factors to be considered, like how others will view your actions whilst trying to be impartial, and most of all, how the two parties involved may view you later on.
it’s easy to act impartial when friends break up on good terms, but if they broke up on bad terms, then you’ll have quite a mess on your hands, especially if one or the other party is sensitive about their friends being in touch with the other party.
again, hypocrisy is the order of the day. =)
