Highland Holiday

Wednesday, June 14th, 2006 @ 3:38 pm | Diary-writer

Here are some photos from my recent weekend at Cameron Highlands.

Midnight bloom. Took this outside our apartment, near the carpark.

Cameron Highlands is strawberry-land. When I saw this I thought of that song 'Today'. You know? 'Today, as the blossoms still cling to the vine, I'll taste your strawberries, I'll drink your sweet vine…'

Sounds a bit wrong there, don't get ideas. Hey. I'm uber-proud of this photo okay? Considering it was taken with a four-year old compact digital camera, it's pretty awesome, don't you think?

I had some awesome waffles with ice-cream and strawberries.

They've lots of stuff at the Brinchang pasar malam.

Strawberries to go and pearl corn (only in Cameron).

Baby carrots tied up in a huge bunch, and putu buloh. I'm a jakun! First time I saw this.

This guy was cutting off honey combs to put into jars of honey. RM10 per jar, cheap-boh?

Those of you who've been to the Sungai Palas Tea Plantation would have seen this huge plate. Whassitcalledagain? Refresh my mind please. An antique tea leave roller or sumthin'.

We had tea and scones at the tea-plantation.

CAMERON RAWKS!
This was our amazing view!

Eric and I say hi! It's been a long time since we came face-to-face with my readers. Happy mid-2006. (Yes, yes, it's the middle of the year already!)

was there last year november, nice cooling, beautiful scenery, great strawberries, but you should not buy from the market, go directly to strawberry farms, like the one opposite equatarial, and eat fresh strawberries early morning, YUM!

i doubt their food is cheap though, hahahah, the pearl corn costs 3 bucks each stick

To know if the honey is pure, leave them for 6 months or longer and if there are harden sugar at the bottom, then it is fake. But for the price of RM10, it is very very very cheap. I think it’s not pure. The comb is there for decoration. They might be adding syrups without you knowing.

Ms Mini, you are very beautiful and had a sweet smile :)

I get very envious when I see holiday pics ‘cos I haven’t had a decent vacation in years. You must have enjoyed yourself very much-you look so happy and contented.
