Because I'm a little tied up with work at the moment, I'm dropping a note to say that I'll be dropping by on a very sporadic schedule. And because I got bored of looking at that bloom of flowers on my front page every time I log in, I'm changing the photo.
Folks, meet Squirt, from Finding Nemo, and my pet terrapin, Toto.

Hey…I have the exact same soft toy back home, even down to the flowery patches on his shell.
Though, one can’t help but ask the question. What exactly are they doing? Or rather…going to do?

Hmm.. I thought “Squirt” was “Crush” in Finding Nemo?
And, you have a red-eared slier at home? Is it a Trachemys? T. scripta, perhaps? I could be wrong *winks*

OMG pelf, i know nuts about reptiles with hard shells… you lost me there…
all i know is i rescued this particular terrapin when she was a baby from a roadside mini drain, and now she’s almost as big as my face.

Make sure you use a toothbrush to clean his… (her…???) shell or else it will turn mouldy. If i were you, I’ll call her… (him…???) sports toto. muahaaaa..

I have 4 terrapins and my mum loves to feed them.
They have grown so much and can barely squeeze in the small aquarium.
Now my mum says wanna throw them to the pond in the nearest park.. *sob sob*

What can terrapins do as pets? Do owners find joy by flipping it over and see how they struggle? and are they supposed to be kept indoors?

Euuuurrrrggghhhh!!!! Your terrapin gives me the creeps! OMG! I’m sure it’s a lovely pet and everything but -shudder- I cannot STAND any reptiles or amphibians. That patterned skin is making my skin crawl.
Don’t tell Toto though - I wouldn’t want to hurt its feelings.
