As for which place is better, I've been to both, and personally Awana would be my choice. Colmar, apart from the gimmicky architectural attraction, doesn't offer much else. Unless you want to indulge in a paintball war (they have a pretty nice setup there). But then again, my last visit was about 2 years ago, and there may be more up there these days. At least with Awana, you can run away to get some real <em>cool</em> climatic effects another 15 minutes up the long and winding road... but that's just me - I prefer cold weather vs. hot 'n humid (which Colmar can get on most days).
