Ok. While the blogger has taken a lot of words to say 'I think saying 'Happy Deepavali' is not right in our religion, but I think it's polite so I will say it as long as I don't believe in Deepavali at all', I think it also hilarious that Mr Mahaguru58 reinforces the fact that saying 'Happy Deepavali' is against the tenets of his religion.

Weird as these people are, I will respect them, after all I've been preaching respect mah… OK lah I will try to respect lah.

After this post that is.

no hope for the human race…

This is not about human race, this is just a narrow view of a bigot thinking he’s Almighty and kudos to the person(s) who exposed this troglodyte’s attempt to pervertise decent people’s views. Weird is too kind to describe the quilty and noticed that eventhough the perpetrator has been identified, there’s no rammifications or even a single apology offered.

This is the state of our country. Denial and semuanya OK!

  3. philters Says:

its people like them that give everyone else a bad name… aiyoh…

  4. samantha Says:

    saying ‘happy deepavali’ is wrong?

  5. noor hidayat Says:

Sorry, but I don’t think wishing anyone anything is against any religion… Hence, I’m wishing everyone everything in my blog just to prove that! I bet God’s not gonna strike a thunderbolt at me!

    What do we say then?

  7. alvin Says:

i want to migrate to Africa already… -.-’

    silly people….

  8. The Malaysian Says:

means that if you wish your fren a “Happy Deepavali” or Merry Christmas.. : you are worshipping many GODS.

    Doesn’t make sense at all.

I think, and this is just me thinking out loud, that maybe Mister Mahaguru58 is writing that to convince himself more than anything else.

I mean, I’m a Muslim and I don’t feel as though my whole religious belief system is going to irrepairably crumble into dust if I greet a few non-Muslim people with some well wishes on their religious festivities.

But then again, people like Mister Mahaguru58 usually call tolerant Muslims like me heretics, so yeah.

Then again, fitnah (defamation) is a most greivous sin in Islam, but yeah.

Happy Deepavali and Selamat Hari Raya, people. Have a good one. Be safe on the road.

Look what I just did there: I just said “Happy Deepavali” and I don’t have the urge to apostasize from Islam. I’m still a Muslim. My faith is apparently still intact. It is a miracle, I tell you. A miracle.

The tenets that a person upholds is like a solid firewall. And just like firewall, they work by logic. So why worry about the akidah just by well-wishing someone as a muhibbah gesture? I believe if one’s faith is as hard as rock, his faith will still be intact no matter what.

Is that simple. Debating petty issues like this much further makes us look like a bunch of nonsensical idiots.

If we have 10 people like Mahaguru58 in our cabinet, our nation will surely descend into chaos & anarchy.

    Gerenti punya.

You know, a funny thing happened the other day. I was at Prangin going to buy some DVDs and I tripped near the entrance over a step I didn’t see. As I tripped and fell, I exclaimed “Jesus Christ!” out of suprise.

When I got up, there were a whole bunch of Muslims surrounding me and asking me to teach them the True Word Of The Gospel.

So I yelled out “Xenu! Xenu! Xenu! Xenu!…” and they all dispersed and went to buy Tom Cruise DVDs.

  14. mahaguru58 Says:

    Greetings people,

I suggest you folks not to jump to any conclusions as to who or what I am without actually knowing me personally.

As a Muslim, I am just looking out for myself and my faith. Please do not say things which you do not know of.

I also have written about it in my blog.

    http://mahaguru58.blogspot.com/2006/10/to-all-hindus-of-world-hope-you-enjoy.html

Read it before you pass judgements.

At the end of the day, when we die, it is God who judges us.

As the saying goes, do not eat the flesh of your brethren- do not backbite!

You want to say something about me, say it to my face failing which just keep it to yourself.

It’s not an honourable thing to do, speaking ill of others behind their backs, won’t you agree?

We as bloggers ought to do the right thing. You read a blog, you don’t agree with anything, you leave your comment right there in that particular blog!

Only spineless ones go and leave comments in other blogs such as this which I wouldn’t know of if not adviced about it by MENJ!

It shows how hypocritical some folks are. Bleeding shame, wouldn’t you agree?

I hope that peace and goodwill is the order of the day especially when it comes to blogging. It is not an excuse to go around defaming people.

In Islam, one who does that is condemned to Hellfire for speaking ill of people behind their backs.

I am sure Shahriman knows that.

In Surah Al Humazah Chapter 104 Verses 1 to 9, Holy Al Qur’an .

    Ponder on that O People.

  15. Ida Tasha Says:

    Mahaguru,
You’re just among those million of Muslims who take religious scholars as lords instead of God, and uphold Hadith more than Quran. Shame on you!

God has never made religion simpler to follow but it’s people like you who tarnish the name of Islam.

    Salaam.

  16. MAHAGURU58 Says:

    Ida Tahir,

You can ‘fitnah’ me as you like behind an id that leaves no trace as to who you are and in the most cowardly manner that befits your person!

If you are really a Muslim, then you have just proved yourself to be nothing but a jahil of the lowest class!

Allah SWT knows me best and you don’t have a freaking idea as to who i am so just mind your own business and stop accusing me of this and that!

I don’t give a hoot to faceless fitnah spewing cowards such as you have proved yourself to be!

  17. MAHAGURU58 Says:

It is a sign of extreme cowardice and stupidity for anyone here to say things about me when you have yet to know me in person!

The mark of a responsible blogger is to acknowledge that each of us have our own viewpoints and should be allowed to say what we want in our own blogs.

Those like minishorts here starting this attack on me just goes to show that this is not the thing here in this blog and just opens up the rest of you folks to follow her que!

By your actions, you expose yourselves to be irresponsible people spewing libel as you please.

What can we do when people cowardly illspeak about others without actually coming to know them in person?

God Almighty will give those who speak falsely and accuse others their due when the Hereafter comes into being!

Wouldn’t it be also the same in your own religious teachings or is it allowed ?

I am not here to seek a useless fight with those of you who are used to this kind of behaviour!

All I ask is to accord to me my rights to speak in defence of my faith and self.

As to the so called ‘muslims’ saying things against me behind my back, I leave it to Allah to give you your dues!

In Malay, I say this ” Kalau dah biasa memakan daging saudara seagama mu, maka siapkan lah diri merasa natijah perbuatan keji mu di Akhirat nanti!

Sikap mengata, memfitnah orang ni perbuatan bacul dan dayus!

Kalau sungguh nak bergasak, ayuh nyatkan tempat dan masa!

Jangan kurang ajar begini! Tak bermaruah langsung! Buat malu bangsa Melayu !

Orang Melayu sekarang seperti kalian memang sudah lupa adat, lupa budaya kerna dah biasa mengumpat, mencaci dan menyumpah orang dibelakang pengetahuan mereka! Bacul!

For your information, I did not backstab you. If I work by your logic, I can say that you have been backstabbing Christians in the multitudes… because you blog about the ‘incredulity’ of our belief in God, the basis of our beliefs (everyman both a sinner) and you talk endlessly about the end of days by your standards, ridiculing other people’s faiths who do not share the same fundamentals as yours. And of course you do not publicise this, and we won’t know about this slandering unless we move to your site. Is that backstabbing?

If you want to work by that kind of definition… then by all means, have it your way. Do have a good day though, too much pondering over what a mere kid like myself says won’t do good to your help. God doesn’t need your sticking up for him, He’s bigger than everything.
