Alternatively.
Confession #1: Yes, yes, I have a weakness inherent, I'm very prone to dramatizing things.
A long-lost friend just recently left me a testimonial, attesting to this fact. 'You have this knack of turning boring everyday stuff into CNN News material.'
Which is quite hilarious, considering the fact that I absolutely abhor CNN.
Notice, how it always happens? The music rolls out with some simple yet modern graphics, and then you have the two anchors saying,'Good morning, and THIS, Is CNN.'
So drama.
That's when I lose all my interest in the news. I don't know, the intonation of the speakers perhaps, that oh so CNN accent, they seem to want to emphasize all the same words until each and every anchor or presenter sounds the same, they're irrecognizable.
Blasted CNN.
And that interview they had with MY prime minister. Which was plastered on all the front pages of the local Chinese papers, and conveniently tucked into a corner of the other dailies.
Oh in bulleted form some more.
- Chinese community should be thankful because the Government has given them the opportunity to prosper.
*cue* Bows head in repentance? OH THANK YOU FOR ALLOWING ME TO PROSPER!!! OMM OMMM OMMM …
Eh I dunno about you hoh, but I remember years and years back some other leader also said something about 'Oh the Malays have to be thankful for the government.'
And that line about 'Don't bite the hand that feeds you.'
Why are our leaders … always begging their people to thank them? Pardon me for being a bit rebellious here, but good morning sir, ma'am, you are the government that we voted INTO power because we believe that we will PROSPER under you. For God's sake I wouldn't even look at my skin colour when it comes to being prosperous. As far as I'm concern, under a good government, EVERYONE SHOULD PROSPER, and when that kind of overall prosperity kicks into the place, a GOOD GOVERNMENT will not go running to a drama-inducing news channel such as CNN and tell a segment of the people, 'OH PLEASE THANK US, BECAUSE WE MADE YOU PROSPEROUS.'
Wait I'm not saying that our government is bad is it? I apologize.
It's just that, when we go to the voting ballots to cast our votes, we want one thing. A government that will know its position, that will govern its people for peace and prosperity. It is the government's duty to provide the nation an environment that will allow ALL THE CITIZENS of this country to prosper and reap the benefits TOGETHER.
OK lah. Or maybe The Chinese Papers, just like CNN is just very good at ensnarling their subjects into saying dramatic lines that will provoke the people down the lines. Like me.

Well yeah, that’s what they’re supposed to do.
Looking at what the government’s done for us… *rolls eyes* not the least comforting at all.
Drama-ber-drama quite normal la, making mountains out of molehills happens to alot of people

I dont know about government giving the chinese community the opportunity to prosper. I would have thought that it was the other way as the chinese have to compete with the privileged group and this is not an opportunity, is it?

alah what i’m saying is… who cares who prospers in this nation, whatever plans they have and all… haven’t they been preaching equality for all, hence the NEP to allow the poorer malays to keep up and all the other plans…
then suddenly this guy goes up on international TV, faces a woman who speaks with an accent and says a loadful of things… that suggest he doesn’t want the responsibility to begin with.
i’ve always regarded that governments are empowered with the responsibility of making the nation prosper.
and he goes and says that.
aih.

WEll hooray.
My thoughts exactly.
I really feel like our current govenrment has stayed up there on the seat of power for too long. I don’t feel that I’m in a democratic country anymore.
SOmething to shake things up abit would be nice.
I remember sometime ago about the Sarawak Elections.
Now that, in my opinion is something to cheer about.
I’m just happy that SOMEONE is giving the damn bastards some competition. Lest they keep saying stupid shit.
Thankful eh.
I say we all be thankful and stir up a riot come next General Election.
I may be babbling too much, but someone needs to make them feel a little uncomfortable…
I’ve made my point now I just need supporters.

Our PM is a very lonely man. He wants to re-marry but what would the country say? “So fast forgot wife already?”

the worst part is we are forced to vote when we hardly find the right candidate who deserve for our vote. we follow the flow.
if you dont vote, you are called not-contributing-youth.
if you vote for the majority party, you are called follow-trend-youth.
if you vote for the oppositon party, you are called nothing-better-todo-youth
if you vote wrongly, you will call them non-contributing-gov*rnm*nt
