What I think.
Disappointment. Would have loved it very much if the person who leads my country didn't wait for two days to come up with his response to the person who used to lead my country. Would have loved it very much if the discussion they had for two hours was not described as one and a half hour, I talk, he only talked for thirty minutes, spent most of the time writing things down in a notebook.
So VERY VERY Disappointing.
Even more stupid are the people who decide on what goes on the front pages of our local dailies. What's wrong with saying something like, 'Pak Lah Responds'. '
'Doses of Venom'.
Working with journalists for a while now, and I'll say, the people who design headliners and write those articles are nothing like the ones we used to work with just about five years back. We're left with a generation of journos who choose to inject huge amounts of articulated adjectives in order to add jazz to their storylines. What's wrong? Is there not enough juice in your subject matters to keep you guys reporting what needs to be reported?
I'm ranting. It's the holidays. Don't mind me.

ho miniSHORTS:
Right there with thee!
Now a ChallengiA which I ooccasionally run in my own blog, but today acting out of line, I ask of this hoRst~~
Dare thee Cut&Paste this post to post at moNSTer blog?
I’ll treat thee to the Best CurryFishHead in the Nine States if “It” makes an APperance there/dare!:)
Here’s a trivia question, no prizes if you guessed it right: have I been writing in MONSTER for a while or have I not? If you found the answer, then you’ll know why I’m not about to take up your dare.

In times like this, I just go to my book rack and pull out my books about Tun Razak, Tun dr Ismail etc and the early struggles … sigh!

Maybe stuff that is supposed to be reported, isn’t, because journos are fearful of reprisals? Its hard to blame the journalists if they can only write what the powers-that-be want them to write and nothing else, isn’t that true Ms. TNB Communications Manager?
The journalists are no less PR spokespersons for the BN than you are for TNB. The difference is, they have little choice in the matter.
And yes, this comes from someone who also works closely with journalists..
and your point being?

Sigh. When I read right, I too felt the same way. It’s like, “Apa nih??” Then I closed the newspaper

killakan,
Do not shoot from within shroud of anonymity. Identify yourself before you bitch about her career!
October 27th, 2006 at 4:07 pm
My point being:
Pot. Kettle. Black.
One of the above doesn’t actually have a choice about the matter, though.
October 27th, 2006 at 5:17 pm
Well you have a choice. Put a face to your name first before you talk about it.
October 27th, 2006 at 5:54 pm
journalist seems to have a penchant for putting uber ‘kao’ headlines just to make things sensational. but the headlines today was just over-kao.

Hi minishorts: thanks for your response.
My challenge may be overly demanding, but it is a sort of litmus test which will see whether moNSTer Blog is truly democratic and accomodating of Bloggers’s true writes. And if may do you a favour, should you arrive at tat Crosswroads that Robert Frost wrote of — The Road Not Taken…No?
Just need some help here ~~ what actually do you mean by “…have I been writing in MONSTER for a while or have I not? ” because I pondered deep and long, I could NOT deciipher youe real intention in the message. Oblige with a direct explanation?
ASIDE: To Darren, do you think you are NOT doing likewise as you accuse “killakan” of doing, hiding behind a pseudonym? “Darren” does NOT link to any weblob or page giving an ID (profile) …so is tis not a case of What is good for the goose is good for the gander?

ylchong, when you choose to criticise a person about what he/she writes in blog, talk about his/her career and claims yourself to be somehow related to the “press”, be man…come out and talk about it. I don’t bitch about other ppl’s career on public forum or blog. If you claim yourself is related to press, it’s bullshit; empty talk.
Giving opinions is entirely a different thing. You can claim yourself to be God trying to give man a lesson. I see you as just a lunatic.
October 27th, 2006 at 10:40 pm
If you don’t intend to show yourself, then don’t criticize what others do for a living and claim yourself to be who-who.
October 27th, 2006 at 10:47 pm
Calling yourself killakan/ylchong or claiming yourself closely related to the journalists doesn’t accord you the right to ridicule a person’s career.

Very nice post, the one after this one but cannot comment. Lucky can see. Might be reading your cache or something.

darren:
I am NOT “killakan”; this host here, minishorts, knows my identity as the owner of the blog called desiderata-ylchong. YL Chong is my proper name, or is your skull too thick that you don’t know by “clicking” on ylchong it leads to my site which has my profile ….Where is the relevance of these rants ”
What I am asking you is Not different from what you asked of “killakan” (WHOM I don’t know at all!). — that you also hide under a ‘general’ name with no link to a weblog I can identify; even up till now after 3 more rants! Anyways, maybe you don’t understand simple English; ask for a simple explanation from minishorts what my only point as ASIDE wrt you is about. (That what is good for the goose is good for the gander…maybe you wsih me to give thee English tuition?)
