Note: Work requires me to utilize my so-called bilingual abilities. Problem is I've been soaked in an almost 100% English-Malay environment for over five years so a return to my Chinese education roots means hell for me. But because I'm required to use the language at lot at work, that means editing copies too (O.M.G. Me? Editing Mandarin copies? Hah!) I've got no choice. So I'm going to blog one Mandarin post every week. Now my Mandarin skills have been on a steady decline since the last five years, so it's not going to be fun reading these pieces. And if you don't understand Mandarin, no worries, you're not missing a thing. It's mostly my way of practising language skills by rewriting some past posts, and composing some anecdotes. We'll see whether 'practice' makes perfect here!

Awesome. Is it possible to have an English and pinyin translation as well to help those who don’t understand Mandarin? I realize this is a big ask but it’d really be helpful to those illiterate in Mandarin to learn something and appreciate your writings.

Wow, a chinese post. Mine also in steady decline since I droped the subject after form3, when the school no longer has a teacher and you have to pay outside teacher to teach the subject.
I can still read, but if you ask me to wirte, sorry lah, most of the time I don’t even remember how the words look like (funny I can recognize them when I read, but when asked to write without reference, I just could not remember how the character look like…).
Typing however is easier as there’s always the pin yin option….
