If you can remember, I've previously mentioned that the word 'shorts' had never referred to the sexy pants. Shorts actually refers to the English short story, that usually has a length of about 1000 - 20 000 words. Now obviously there's no way I could extend my posts to these proportions, so I added the word 'mini' as a prefix to shorts, to best describe this blog.

Anyway it took me sometime to decide on the best Chinese version of 'minishorts'. The first observation was how readers mostly chose to call me 'mini'. The other one was the fact that the blog contains mini-snippets of my personal thoughts. That's how I decided on the name ???, (mi ni shuo), literally, 'mini says'. I'm sure these three words would be the closest to the original of 'minishorts' in both pronunciation and meaning.

Of course my name isn't really mini. My Chinese name is ??? 'qiu zi zhi', but it has been ages since my friends called me that. Eric's name is pronounced as ?? 'dau liang', and April's name, pronounced ?? 'ming li'. So the next time you see the words 'dau liang' and 'ming li', you'll immediately know who I'm talking about.

Been surfing the Malaysian Chinese blogospheric scene these days, and I accidentally stumbled upon the Malaysian Chinese Bloggers Directory. If you're keen on reading posts by bloggers with far better Chinese than mine, thats the place to go to.

Say tak faham apa ni. Bolehkah Cik Selaur Pendek sila tuliskan translation dalam Pinyin dan juga bahasa Inggeris supaya orang yang tidak begitu bijak boleh faham dan belajar bahasa Cina. Lepas itu, kita boleh semua melancong dan makan di negara Cina.

    Sekian, terima kasih.
