Marmalade goodness

Marmalade is the latest hangout at Bangsar Village 2. Eric and I decided to have dinner here last night, while waiting for the rush hour jam to fade with the crowds.
A little touch of Havana is a salad mix of canned pineapples and coconut salsa, diced red and yellow peppers and tiny chunks of chicken and haloumi, sitting on a bed of romaine lettuce, topped with alfalfa. Surprisingly yummy! RM14 for light servings, RM19 for a serving in a large mixing bowl.
The Aglio Olio was slightly overcooked, tossed in oregano-flavoured olive oil with onion shreds, pine nuts and sundried tomato pieces, topped with some broccoli and alfalfa. The spaghetti with vegetables alone costs RM18, but I paid another RM5 just to get three measly slices of smoked salmon.
I don't take lamb, but this Moroccan Lamb Shank looks quite delicious eh? Apart from the shank, there were loads of vegetables sitting on a bed of spicy flavoured rice, with toppings of broccoli, cauliflower and alfalfa of course. Oh the rice was quite delicious, according to Eric. Costs RM22 a plate. Oh I know, I haven't written such a 'serious' sounding restaurant review before, but today decided that Marmalade was worth the effort. I liked the dishes because they were healthy, am definitely going back for second servings of the salad (and to try out the other six offers). I thought the juices were on the pricey side though, at RM7-10, there was too much ice in the glasses. And the selection should be expanded, since it's rather limited for now.
However Marmalade is new, and there's still lots of space for growth and improvement. Yum!

It’s not new, there’s been a branch in Mon’t Kiara for a long time.
This is their second branch.
I recommend iced water, their drinks are very pricey.

The lamb shank is delish. when it came, I just. stopped. talking.
the carrot cake was as good as homemade (the wife recognised the recipe).
one thing they can do is cover the bare concrete floor and ceiling with something absorbent, because the ambient noise from diners yakking is *loud!*
