Back after five.

Apr 16, 2007 in Diary-writer

Hi folks. I've been away for five days. Blame the AsiaWorks Advanced Course for that.

To those of you who cringe at the word 'AsiaWorks', pardon me. But I quite believe I'm still the same person. See? I'm still the same old, arrogant, I'm holier-than-thou, pardon me but I'm right all the time and everyone else is a stupid fuck, SPINSTER (to quote a strange looking religious-aspiring young man).

To those of you who did the AsiaWorks programme (Basic, Advanced and LP), I'll say… people don't change, so I'm not about to change. ^_^ Loving myself too much as it is… best part is, my friends love me for the arrogant show-offy me… so why morph into some weird I pretend to love the whole world person? *insert winkie here*

I've read the comments you've left me, Jeff from LA, and I have to say, I honestly didn't follow that part. The main papers say it's Razak Baginda who did the killing… I don't exactly have the time to study up on scandals. And I'm not about to reveal my political leaning or opinions on this blog… so I hope my statement clears up some doubts?

Someone asked me how you can contact me. I'm still replying mails to minishorts [at] gmail [dot] com.

Back to that 'spinster' reference. Oh I suppose he's right. I'm 27 years old, and unmarried. Boo hoo hoo. Someone give me a tissue. Whatever.

MENJ, I'm just going to say this here. You choose to write the things you write, you choose to earn your living by owning those websites, and you choose to defend your religion (this choice IS honourable), by saying the things you say (those words are NOT honourable). So because it is your choice, well you just have to get used to being accused like this. And in the spirit of the words you choose to say, you are bound to get an ad-hominem attack every once in a while. Get used to it. I have, why can't you?

Anyway, I have to get back to work. This was an update.

And oh! Thanks to Edrei ten million times for upgrading my wp when I was away! Now THAT is what I call a true Muslim.

More Cod @ Mizu

Apr 10, 2007 in Diary-writer

If anyone ever wants to take me out for dinner and is wondering what would make me smile, think of a place where they serve cod. It's expensive, ya, I know, but it's also my favourite-st fish in the whole world (actually my favourite fish used to be salmon, but then salmon got rather affordable so now I've switched to a pricier order)

Anyway, Bangsar Village's Mizu serves a set Gindara (grilled cod) at a very reasonable price. RM28++ for a small appetizer, the fish, rice, pickles, chawan mushi and cut fruits is quite 'okay'!

The Cod! Yummy!

Appetizer and chawan mushi.

Mizu Japanese Fine Dining is located on the 1st floor of the older BV. Set dinners go from RM60++ each. Set lunches however, are about RM20 to RM 32 max.

Actually, I'm testing out what a post with photos looks like in this theme.

Spur of the moment.

Oh suddenly I feel like rebranding this whole thing called 'minishorts'.

This is what happens when you're sick of the whole blogging phenomenon, but still in love with the personal exercise that constitutes what blogging is all about.

Keeping the domain name though.

But no longer going to be called 'minishorts'. DAMN IT… MY DOMAIN NAME IS STUCK, SO IS MY E-MAIL ADDRESS…

SICK OF IT SICK OF IT SICK OF IT SICK OF IT SICK OF IT SICK OF IT SICK OF IT SICK OF IT SICK OF IT SICK OF IT SICK OF IT SICK OF IT SICK OF IT SICK OF IT SICK OF IT SICK OF IT SICK OF IT SICK OF IT SICK OF IT SICK OF IT SICK OF IT SICK OF IT SICK OF IT SICK OF IT SICK OF IT SICK OF IT SICK OF IT SICK OF IT SICK OF IT SICK OF IT SICK OF IT SICK OF IT SICK OF IT SICK OF IT SICK OF IT SICK OF IT SICK OF IT SICK OF IT SICK OF IT SICK OF IT SICK OF IT SICK OF IT SICK OF IT SICK OF IT SICK OF IT SICK OF IT SICK OF IT SICK OF IT SICK OF IT SICK OF IT SICK OF IT SICK OF IT SICK OF IT SICK OF IT SICK OF IT SICK OF IT…

Grrrr…

Update: HAVING A BLOODY POUNDING HEADACHE THAT'S STOPPING ME FROM FUNCTIONING NORMALLY TODAY… DAMN IT'S HARD LOOKING FOR A NICE NEW THEME THAT WILL REJUVENATE ME.

EXPECT STRANGE FLUCTUATIONS IN THE THEMATIC RESPONSES OF THIS BLOG FOR THE NEXT FEW DAYS.

Monday can be fun.

To deviate from difficult topics, I just wanted to say that I'm back at work, and it looks to be a refreshing week.

Of course part of that has got to do with me attending the AsiaWorks Advanced Course from Wednesday to Sunday, courtesy of the good ole' syarikat berhad.

I'm looking forward to some non-spiritual brainwashing. Hehe.

My poor God

Update: A self-professed problogger described Good Friday as 'nonsense' today, classifying it as the celebration of a half-naked man swinging from a cross. I'm mentioning this because it's interesting that this same person claims to be religious and wants people to learn about the wonder that is his religion Islam, and clearly tries to influence readers that his version of 'The Way of Life' is the right one (liberals can go to hell, by his definition). He calls himself religious and yet has no qualms over behaving like a narrow-minded bigot.

But to Muslims and non-Muslims alike, tell me this. Even if you find the idea of worshiping Jesus appalling and an insult to your personal beliefs, do you find it Islamic to declare outright to a blogosphere with a good % of people in it being Christians themselves, that their one day dedication of Jesus's sacrifice on the cross is nonsense?

If this kind of behaviour is considered classic and correct Islamic, than I have to fear for the world, and for once agree with the stereotyped opinion that Islam evokes terror. Pardon me.
