Self Turned Inwards.

Sin. We're helpless against this condition. Strange concept, pathetically Christian and therefore deservedly judgemental by virtue of its association with a religion ANYWAY, and hence, one-sided. But never mind.

For some reason I feel sin has never been so obviously displayed until this day, these weeks, or when you read it in the judgements passed and splashed across our main papers.

Ironic, huh? For some reason, we have blatantly displayed this helpless condition of being 'selfish', where we have all placed our very own 'importance' inside, so that the definition of sin, as 'The Self Turned Inwards', is now blatantly made concrete.

I suppose what else we can do except learn to be gracious, and to do so, by starting off to accept things and be thankful, kan?

Be thankful, whatever the circumstance, whereever the place, however the situation, whatever the impact etc, etc,… And yes, based on the judgement, much politicized, for a good reason yes, what I feel, is.

- Right now Muslims ought to be thankful for what they have that we don't have.
- At the same time, non-Muslims like me, ought to be thankful also, for what we have that they the Muslims don't have.
- When you're looking from the eyes of a foreigner unbound to the laws of this country, please be thankful for what you are and where you are.
- As Malaysians, I think we need to be thankful for the opportunity to live through this condition and experience it. After all it is in the most confusing and controversial of conditions that we gain the most valuable insights.

And yet through all this, I quite believe the biggest burden for now falls upon your shoulders, Lina, for having to fulfill what God has for you, and accept the results as a part of the journey He wills you to walk. I don't know what it's like to be you, and while I'm grateful that I'm not you, I envy you also for the lessons and experiences you will gain from this walk.

Praying for God's grace to be with you all the way.

That you will continue to persevere, and we will all start to LIVE WORSHIP. I really believe in this, that His Will be done on earth as it is in heaven, and that His is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, forever and ever.

We should start making the Our Father prayer a living habit. Again and Again and Again.
