The stress begins…

*DONG DONG DONG*

In between work yesterday (a.k.a. while waiting for my boss to approve a draft speech), I took some time to quickly do a spreadsheet on the budget we'll be working on for the wedding.

Church ceremony, luncheon, dinner, makeup artists, invitation cards, the dress, his tux, photographers, videographers, decorations, THE HOUSE!, the dinner, favours, the corsages, the bouquets, the boutonnieres, car-decorations, the renovations, the kitchen utensils, the this, the that, the blah… OMG I can buy a Honda City with the whole works!

If I don't invite you to the wedding hoh, its not that I don't like you lah okay, it's because I'm too stingy, and I don't quite think your angpau can cover my expenses. *wink*

..

Thus begins the stress…

Happy Wedding minishorts. Have a good honeymoon also. :-P

You wrote ‘the dinner’ twice. I also have no idea what a ’boutonniere’ is. The key is also to invite people whom you know will give you a fat angpow.

    buffer up..

just when you thought you had everything budgeted, there will be more coming last minute.

vincent: boutonniere is those “corsage” (flower) for the groom/groomsmen

All the best in planning! Get friends to help or set aside an extra budget for planner? Reduces the stress…seriously. Seen the literal difference in friends with and without planner!

Wait till you have to arrange for the seats..who to sit with who and where. Imagine you have to arrange for 500 seats…Good Luck and enjoy the process!

Weddings these days are super expensive… and when throw a huge Asian family into the mix, it gets even more crazy. We had about 300 ppl at mine and that was the “short list”… O_o

Good luck, and remember to breathe…

I am chuffed to learn of this. If I may, just two pieces of advice from moi:

    1. Focus less on the wedding day and more on the rest of your lives together after the wedding :-)

    2. Have loads of fun and have standby bullet men and women to take care of drinking ambushers, or pay the price (I did) :p
