The ceremony symbolizes the "coming-of-age" of the couple but mostly, to wish them longevity, love, and children. So as it goes: First comb to comb till the end Second comb to bring love and respect till old age Third comb to bring lots of children and grandchildren In any case, good luck on your wedding planning.
