honestly, it’s just a movie. i’m a catholic and i didn’t get any “anti-God” vibes from it. plus, i plan to read the book! so does that mean i’ll go to Hell?

How COULD you, Nicole? It’s like i don’t KNOW you any more…

when they make Garth Nix’s Abhorsen series, i think the conservatives in America are going to make another ruckus over this whole anti-God thing.

And all this while I thought Nicole Kidman was going to hell because she was a Scientologist .. sigh .. turns out salvation depends on one’s involvement in a movie whether as a viewer or an actor. Hehe.

BTW Kukuman, it was the money changers that were kicked out. Those guys who peddled the “holy” shekels in return for the “unholy” denarii to pilgrims so that they could purchase an unblemished dove or two for the temple sacrifices. Some interesting parallels here with our “peddlers” of holiness and those self appointed gatekeepers who feel its their duty to tell us whether we’re good enough to worship God.
