I choose my leader this way.
Are you looking forward to the elections?
…
I'll tell you an open secret, I didn't vote the last round because I didn't think it's important. But hey, now that I work for a Government Linked Company, mana boleh tak undi kan?
…
I'm writing this down because I don't want to forget what I actually said in a conversation a few hours ago… you know sometimes for some reason you tend to come up with aha lines in the middle of conversations, and then at that point of time a light pops up in your head and you go, 'Wah I quite smart hoh', and so this was what actually happened. My friend was asking me whether I would be voting for the current ruling coalition or whether I was going to go against the tide (which actually in my shoes I wonder if 'going against the tide' is an apt way to describe my current sentiments seeing that a lot of my friends are pretty pro-Bersih for now… so much for all the public polls The Star has so eagerly published recently.
Actually honestly I also buey tahan the tone of the articles those mainstream papers publish lah. And since I know damn a lot of reporters, I candidly say this here lah, 'Eh, don't so obviously bodek can or not? Baca also wanna vomit lah…"
…
I'm not saying I'm pro-opposition, or this was what I told my friend when she asked me if I was pro-BN or pro-Keadilan. Possibly because I'm a righteous prick with certain ideals in life (i.e. I'm mostly leaning to the left who believes she's right) I don't really vote for parties (OMG so sorry to disappoint). Alas, its true - to me its the leader that matters, and what I am always looking for is a leader of principle, a leader who has a stand.
I'm not interested in voting for leaders with an opinion.
…
Make sense or not? My friend thought I was speaking in jargon, well maybe.
Actually to me, a leader MUST be someone who has a stand, a firm and solid belief in something that motivates his actions. I like leaders with a firm conviction and a pressing agenda to create peace, unity, understanding, prosperity, you know… the likes… but I'm not agreeable to a leader who wants to push forth that sort of agenda in a CERTAIN way only.
'Wah so you agree to corruption lah izzit?' my friend exclaimed.
'Eh not so, totally against it. Actually a leader who truly wants peace and unity won't even consider corrupting himself or his methods to achieve that end,' I said. 'But I'm against a leader who's overtly opinionated.'
'Meaning?'
'Meaning kalau nak justice, the leader says justice must come in this format only. Must be achieved in this manner only. CANNOT lah like this. That's not leading people, that's being blindly stubborn and inflexible.'
'So who are you going to vote lah?
'That's my biggest problem. Can't seem to find a person who embodies the characteristics of leadership I look for in the pre-supposed electoral roll so far, but I shall see.'
My man Eric's all too eager to vote for his leader too. However, I quite believe he's got a very different manner of voting. Ah well, we will see lah. less than 3 weeks away, I AM EXCITED!

In Msia, you vote for a party, not a person. Badawi doesn’t go on YouTube to debate. When he says “YES”, a “NO” is unacceptable. Newspapers will echo “YES YES YES”.

Voting in this country is all about picking the lesser of two evils. At least you have the chance to vote. Me? SPR says “NO WAY!”. =.=

All i can say is that M’sia is Country Run by the power of police..so whats the difference between m’sia and other military run goverment?
NONE!!!!
Everything is controlled! No freedom of speech. When we express ourself in this country, you get smoked and water cannoned…eg: last rally…hmmm…
When the PM son in law (Khairy la who else) demonstrated, is that a legal thing? Double standards being practiced here.(How Sad).. He looked like a fool/ huligan on the streets..haha…(looks like Chairman Mao with the stupid combed hair..)
Well thats why i say support the opposition.. we need them to voice out at the Parliment..(Parlimen also controlled..) but hey, its a start..

not voting is also a choice, a decision to be neutral - but probably a bad choice and still the lesser of 3 evils.

February 26th, 2008 at 11:50 am
hmmm..well..I believe that we should put someone who will fight for our interest into the Parliament/State Assembly..and not someone who disguises as one but one hand of his/her in the the kitty..i.e.someone who wants to use this political power as a stepping stone to riches.

Just support the Barisan Rakyat, not the corrupt regime
February 27th, 2008 at 4:38 pm
Well, I know I won’t be voting for the person who represents a party that approves of some idiots waving their knives and forks at citizens of other races….that’s for sure…..and to be bound by the BN party whip…want to protest for the community also cannot.
