Just in case.

Tuesday, July 8th, 2008 @ 12:49 pm | God-worshipper

I'm putting down the evidence, in the event that I kick the bucket and then some genius comes along and tells my family that I converted and therefore my body belongs to them.

DON'T LET THEM.

I have the right to believe in what I want to believe. I'm not Muslim. Never will be. Even after I die, no one can put my body into a Muslim cemetery. No one can take what I own away and give it to Baitumal - my belongings will go to my family. They decide what they want to do with it.

Don't let them come over and claim my body as theirs. The body belongs to the earth and it shall go back to the earth. The burial and the funeral, how my loved ones want me to go, that ceremony is up to them. But I'll put it here, its not going to be a Islamic ceremony, because I'm not Muslim. Don't label me after I die. Give my body that dignity, but more importantly, give my family that right to mourn for me - because I was theirs in my lifetime.

In response to this.

Dont have to be that way..

you know, during the Hudaibiah treaty, Mohammad was willing to return any converted Muslims back to Mekah, if ever they tried to run away Madinah during the term of the Treaty with the Quraishy..

I am certain there are better ways to handle the matter, everybody should be rational… I think…

Of course there are better ways to handle the matter. The problem with these people is they behave as if they are Muhammad. I mean if Muhammad was really like that, then there is really a problem with the religious system called Islam. But I want to believe that Muhammad is not as dead-body crazy as the kind of people who’re working in that body snatching department.

hmm…will a blog post constitute a legally binding document? Perhaps writing a will is a better option. just my thoughts.

  6. 2cents Says:

Kenny’s right, better do a Statutory Declaration… wait, that doesn’t count for much too!

This is the second time I’ve heard of it happening in Malaysia and third time I’ve heard of this happening at all. [Other case was in Sydney where some Muslims who weren't even related got an old womans money and house etc and the family got nothing].

I worry that some people think it is Okay to steal as long as the people they are stealing from aren’t of their religion! God doesn’t discriminate. Theft is theft, even if it is of a dead persons body and right to be buried as they lived.

  8. S-Kay Says:

I nicknamed them the “body snatchers”. We are quite disgusted by their actions AND I don’t understand what will they get by doing what they’re doing? Pahala? It’s for them to interpret I guess.

  9. bodysnatchers Says:

wonder if ur poor and destitute will they wanna try to grab ur body?

or is it only those wif assets to pilfer?

  10. u-jean Says:

actually, i don’t the idea of body snatching. i mean it’s dead. so even if you win it to your side, what do you get? someone kindly explain to me…
