I dun think we will be able to see the 2020 this country has “promised with determination” to achieve.

Hmmm, i suggest International Schools for the future generation??

that’ll do.. Or, Homeschool doing their O levels with a private tutor??

Anything is better than going back to government school or a private school teaching our spm syllabus.

take O levels better still, got HIGHER chance of getting an application to an international college, university and thus, a better opportunity to contributing labor in foreign countries.

I have tossed up my hands in resignation already. But the thing is, the present situation was never tenable. They don’t have proper lecturers or teachers who can teach in English, so you get a bunch of poor students – whose English was never great to begin with – struggling to understand what was being taught. However, rather than throw in the towel, the gomen should’ve aggressively beefed up the capabilities of their teachers. Instead, they choose to crawl back to their tempurung, dragging the hapless rakyat with them. Lookee here, if you want to shoot yourself, don’t take us with you, right??

Looks like the proficiency of the next gen in English all depends on the parents now. cannot rely on schools anymorelah…

anyway, the malaysian education has already collapsed. even if they actually come up with a very good solution, i doubt the super efficient boleh style implementation will reap good results.

i have reach a stage whereby i think… those who wants to go on a self destruction mode, let them be.

I never fully appreciated the impact of an impartial education system which can only flourish without political influences until SG’s PM brought it to my attention today:

“Political leadership to drive the process, political leadership to put heavy emphasis on education nationally, and political leadership to shield the education system from politics, so that teachers can do what they need to do and not have their work disrupted or confused or led astray by extraneous political considerations which are educationally unsound,” said PM Lee.

How true! little wonder their education system is something to be emulated
