Ooh it’s Month Four!

Aug 10, 2009 in Family-maker

I've finally hit month 4 on the pregnancy radar, and I have about 24 weeks left to go. But let's not go anywhere there, because since I haven't been writing for a bit, I'm going to just list down what I really want to have, happening in my life, right now (or at least, over the next 24 weeks).

  • The weight gain target: Because I've been lucky enough not to get the morning sickness spell, I've been gaining weight steadily. So far since the conception, I've gained about 5 kgs (many of my pregnant friends / been there before friends lose weight during their first trimester), and some weight is beginning to show around my cheeks. So I'm here wishing and hoping that the weight gain remains steady and optimal, and doesn't go beyond the recommended 12 – 15 kg maximum from original weight.
  • The breast milk target: I really really wanna breast feed baby when (s)he comes out, but I heard that sometimes mothers just lack the ability to lactate properly. So every night as I look at my two blossoming buddies I silently tell them 'be fruitful' with the wish and hope that they'll produce enough nutrients for me to sustain little baby for at least six months (and optimistically, a year).
  • The baby please don't be shy target: We're due for that check up where doctor will tell us if baby is a boy or a girl. Now I've got friends who had to wait till month seven because baby was too shy to show off… so right now I'm crossing my fingers and silently praying and asking baby inside to be a very very brave and bold darling, and turn over to show us what (s)he looks like.

You know, I'm really glad I was born a woman. I believe we really only live once, and I'm glad that women have this opportunity to experience a totally new difference in physicalities and emotions, and to feel and want to become who I'm going to become very soon. So glad to be born a woman!
