still unsure whether it’s a fake call.

I also get loads of those calls. Usually I would just say the person is not in. But I found out that saying “I’m halfway cooking and the stove is still on” is the most effective in ending calls fast.

But, I gotta agree, these people have some kind of wierd way of honing in to make their calls at the most inconvenient of times and then being relentless after that…

the other annoying thing, is the sms-es i get from some china line for some lucky draw/competition, as if i can read chinese. then the ah long msges, offering loans. are they selling our numbers or what?!

When i applied for the Shell card, got rejected. then when it was busy period at work, they keep calling me to offer like 3 times a day, 3 times a week. told them to just leave me alone. so efficient that they actually called me three months later to follow up by another person. and after a few more persistant calls, very annoyed, i just told them that I’ll call when i see a need for the card and dont need to keep calling me. “Thank you” *slams phone*. rude of them, but they havent bothered me since then. (i bet they probably put a note: not potential customer)

one time i received a call from a fitness centre. usually it’s the case of own member who gave recommendation. it’s definitely not a policy to reveal their customers’ name. “oh, it was our customer named (name+surname)”
