When I started the blog way back in 2002, I was looking for a place to write short snippets about the ongoings in my life. Something like a diary, but somewhere online and a little more public, so that friends in faraway and unreachable places could still be in the know about what's happening to me. I named the site Minishorts for that purpose, and for some reason, the term 'Minishorts' became my online pseudonym as well. So people still refer to me a Minishorts these days, and you can follow me on Twitter @Minishorts.

The blog has evolved tremendously since its conception. I was a massively serial blogger in my early days, blogging up to twice a day on high seasons. Because it has been around for a decade, Minishorts.net has seen me through several dates and breakups, different groups of friends, and various stages in my life. I was a student struggling to pass my finals and complete my thesis when I started the blog. Now, I'm married with children, working from home and blogging only occasionally about the important milestones in life.

This blog is totally personal, and I TOTALLY LOVE IT as a thoroughly authentic extension of myself.
